Prior to LRVHealth, Will was a Partner at Firepond Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in healthcare IT and MedTech companies. Before Firepond, Will was co-founder and CEO of NaviNet, a healthcare IT company that streamlined transactions between payers and providers. Backed by Northbridge, Atlas and GE Ventures, NaviNet grew to become one of the largest transaction engines in healthcare, serving dozens of payers and over 800,000 providers before being acquired by Highmark and other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. Prior to NaviNet, Will was CEO of venture-backed Pegasus Medical Technologies, an early electronic medical records company, which he and his partners sold to HBOC/McKesson (NYSE:MCK). Earlier in his career, Will was a VP at Thermocell, acquired by the Hunter Douglas Company and today a $500M division of the firm. In his various operating roles, Will raised over $75M in venture capital and built multiple high performance management teams.
Will has been a Managing/General Partner of five LRVHealth funds. He led healthcare investing in the early funds, and alongside co-founder Tripp Peake, brought in the first health systems as Strategic Limited Partners setting the long-term direction for the firm. Will is currently focused on existing portfolio companies, his role as a General Partner of prior funds, and overall portfolio strategy for those funds. He has served and continues to serve as a trusted partner to portfolio company management teams, bringing decades of experience and perspective as they navigate the complexities of building and scaling healthcare businesses.
