Josh Flum joined LRVHealth in 2022, bringing nearly two decades of strategic and operational leadership inside one of the country’s largest healthcare organizations.
At CVS Health, Josh held a range of senior leadership roles, giving him a 360-degree view across pharmacy, PBM, health plans, and care delivery.
Most recently, Josh served as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at CVS Health, where he was responsible for reading dynamic market forces and driving the organizational responses that followed. In this role, Josh led a broad set of transformational activities ranging from leading the integration of CVS Health and Aetna to founding CVS Health Ventures, the company's venture capital fund built to advance its strategy through investment and partnership with innovative digital health companies. Earlier in his career, Josh was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and an associate at Miller, Cassidy, Larocca & Lewin.
As a Managing Partner at LRVHealth, Josh focuses on bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and healthcare incumbents, with a particular emphasis on pharmacy innovation. He brings deep expertise across the pharmacy landscape, including specialty pharmacy, PBM dynamics, 340B, and emerging care and distribution models.
He works closely with LRVHealth’s Strategic Limited Partners (SLPs) to help them navigate a complex and rapidly evolving pharmacy environment, translating market changes into actionable insights. Josh also leads a dedicated group of pharmacy leaders across LRVHealth’s SLP network, facilitating peer-to-peer discussions around shared challenges and connecting them with relevant innovative solutions. This same operator perspective benefits the entrepreneurs he partners with, helping them build and position their company in line with how the healthcare system operates and where the market is heading.
